Blog

The Sound of Silence blog is an evidence base for insights from the community, the project team and experts on environmental and climate change, development gaps, and the combined impacts of these on tribal communities in the Sundarbans Biosphere Reserve (SBR), India, in order to amplify their voices, enhance their resilience to climate change and disasters, and share key insights from the project activities. The blog aims to serve as a platform to both represent these insights and facilitate their meaningful inclusion in research, popular discourse, and decision-making for climate change and adaptation in the Sundarbans.

While community voices – especially gendered perspectives – are front and centre in this blog, we welcome submissions on related issues from students, researchers, teachers, practitioners, media persons and policymakers, which will be reviewed for publication on a case-by-case basis. Interested authors may send a pitch not exceeding 250 words to soundofsilenceresearch@gmail.com. We also publish submissions from experts on relevant themes from time to time.
